Glashütte Original celebrated the US launch of “Impressions,” the German watchmaker’s first manufactory book, in an intimate presentation to Los Angeles influencers and tastemakers last week at MILK studios.

“Impressions” illuminates a multifaceted collection of personal recollections, well-researched professional articles and snapshots of the brand’s uninterrupted history of 170 years, in addition to notes from devotees of the brand, including the evening’s special guest, actor, producer and TV-host Joel McHale.

“It is the people – the engineers, precision mechanics and watchmakers, all the friends, business partners and companions of Glashütte Original – who transform our Swiss replica watches into veritable collector’s items”, said Yann Gamard, CEO of Glashütte Original. “We wanted to give them a platform. As a result, “Impressions” is not only a portrait of our manufactory, but a tribute to the rich history of the region and the outstanding skills of the people who work and live here”, he added.

Guests at the celebration, including journalists, business partners, friends of the brand and notable influencers experienced exclusive readings by book contributors like McHale. Additionally, they were treated to a special exhibition that featured historical timepieces and various artifacts mentioned in the book. Glashütte Original’s watchmakers demonstrated “German Watchmaking Art since 1845” live in the iconic MILK studios space.

Originally launched in September 2015, the manufactory book “Impressions” is available in all Glashütte Original Boutiques worldwide.
